“How I FINALLY Stopped Making Excuses” – Matt’s Transformation Story

Meet, Matt!

Matt joined Training for Warriors Doylestown in November of 2016.

Before joining TFW Doylestown, Matt felt as though his patience was low in all aspects of his life, especially once he made his way home from work. Matt had heard about TFW months before he actually decided to join. In fact, Matt’s wife knew Coach Mike and Coach Kirt from her previous job, and kept mentioning the program to Matt.

“I kept giving myself excuses for not joining even though I knew this was the right program, but I kept resisting. I previously worked out at the local gym and I used to have a very active job working outside, but once I changed jobs and focused on family, I had all active parts of my life removed.  I knew something was missing and after months of my wife trying to convince me I finally decided to start TFW.” Continue reading → “How I FINALLY Stopped Making Excuses” – Matt’s Transformation Story

“I Lost My Excuses And Found My Results” – Jamie’s Transformation Story

Meet Jamie!

TFW has actually completely changed my life in more ways than just the fitness aspect of it. When I first came into the gym I was overweight, stressed, and riddled with anxiety from “the glamorous life of business travel”.

Last Spring, one of the members of the familia decided that it would be a goal to complete a Spartan race. As excited as I was to join the team and take on this challenge I soon realized my excitement was merely masking what was really going on in my life. Not only was I just “going through the motions,” but I was hiding what what I was really feeling and what was keeping me in place instead of moving forward.

I was using alcohol as a crutch and THAT was just making life HARDER.

Meet Jon!

A man of few words, but a man of greater actions!

Jon joined Training for Warriors Doylestown in July of 2017.

Although seeing and feeling changes were slow at first, Jon’s results became more obvious as the weeks moved forward. “Training for Warriors has not only allowed me to lose weight, get in shape, and increase my muscle mass, but I feel more energized.”

Jon has found that there are really no other gyms out there where others truly care about you.

“A Widow, A Mother, A Warrior” – Joan’s Transformation Journey

Meet, Joan!

Joan joined Training for Warriors Doylestown in August of 2017.  As an introvert, someone who tends to hang back, and stay within her safety net, Joan made a huge step when she got her feet through the door at TFW.

Joan found that she was facing life with a front up, but TFW brought something new to her.  That “thing” was belief in herself.  “It has given me the confidence to push myself beyond my comfort zone knowing that I can ‘just do it!’  There are no failures, just lessons and experiences.”  Along with finding that confidence to believe in herself, she has also dropped her fear of pushing herself, and has become open to the possibilities that life has to offer.

“The BEST Decision I’ve Made” – Dana’s Transformation Story

Meet, Dana!

22815618_10214957656882016_1271696525356720885_n

Dana joined Training for Warriors Doylestown 6 months ago for an 8-week challenge.  Dana is a mother, a wife, and a nurse, but after having her third child in September of 2016, she spent most of her time feeling uneasy and uncomfortable in her own skin.  This caused a lack of confidence and made her feel as though she was just going through the daily motions without any direction.  While her weight was at an all-time high, her self-esteem was at an all-time low.  She felt as though she was trapped in the normal routine of life, and that she wouldn’t be able to find the time to do anything about it.

In August of 2017, a month before the 8-week challenge was about to begin, she had a conversation with Coach Mike.  She spoke with him and expressed her desire, and need, for a change.

“Something had to be better than what I was feeling at that time!  As I frantically paced back-and-forth in my kitchen, like a frazzled housewife, surrounded by all of the toys and clutter, I was just feeling that I wanted to escape.  I needed something that was just for me!  That is when I decided to try the eight week challenge.”

“It’s Not About What I’ve Lost, But What I’ve Gained!” – Rob’s Transformation Story

Meet, Rob!

Rob joined Training for Warriors Doylestown in the fall of 2017 for an 8-week challenge. Prior to joining, Rob’s social media was flooded with inaccurate advertisements and “Quick-Fix” programs.

“It’s funny; you see all these ads on the web regarding the ‘dad bod’ with fake pictures and false promises. At TFW these are real people with real results.”

At TFW Doylestown, Rob found something that had been missing for him – structure. “What I enjoy most about TFW is the program, the people and the structure you receive. The program is structured in such a way that you can rely on the process to work your entire body. Structure is built-in from day one. You start each training session with a plan, along with a motivational message, which sets the tone for the workout.”

“Drop Your Excuses And Go For It” – Devon’s Transformation Story

Meet, Devon!

21765246_10102405592545368_3372125999848917725_n

Devon joined Training for Warriors Doylestown about four months ago, after she hit a bout of depression and felt as though she had lost herself.

“I was miserable and short tempered – even ask my husband.”

Devon was so out of sorts, and uncomfortable in her own skin, that she’d purposely avoid social gatherings.  All of that changed when she joined TFW. Continue reading → “Drop Your Excuses And Go For It” – Devon’s Transformation Story

“Starting Small Led To Standing Tall” – Janet’s Transformation Story

Meet, Janet!

Janet joined Training For Warriors Doylestown in the fall of 2017 for an 8-week transformation program. Her neighbor, Chris, would mention TFW to Janet on their daily walks.

“It just started out as a couple of friends and neighbors getting together for the 8-week program, and I fell in love with it and the coaches.”

Before Janet began her journey, she was hesitant; in fact, she thought she’d never return after the 8-week program was complete. Overtime, all of that changed when she found that she was putting in time for herself that she hadn’t before.

“I feel that I can carve a little time for myself, out of each day, and I don’t have to think of anything else while I’m in the dojo, except for the training that has been put in front of me.”

Janet has said that the thing she enjoys most about TFW are the exercises, and the fact that she’s always learning something new. “In the past five months, that I’ve been coming to the gym, I’m still doing new and exciting exercises, everyday. There’s always a challenge, for me, to see what I can accomplish by the end of that hour. It’s given me the confidence in myself that I can do it, and that, alone, is very rewarding to me.

Since starting at TFW, Janet has lost 23pounds in five months! Her original goal was 20 pounds, but with a little help and dedication she was able to surpass that.

“I’ve learned to set a goal and stick to it. I also found that the Warrior Shred cookbook was a great motivator for me. It’s easy to follow, and even my husband really enjoys the recipes.”

So, what’s Janet’s best piece of advice for someone who may be just as hesitant as she once was? “Start small! The best part is no one at TFW judges you. You’re all there with a common goal, and young or old, everyone is treated with the same respect.”

To Janet, TFW has become more than just a gym, it’s become a place to see family. She’s made a lot of new, and lasting, friendships that have helped her along her path. “When I leave the gym at night, I always walk away with a smile on my face, and I’m grateful for that and for all of these new relationships I’ve formed.”

“I Keep Climbing The Mountain” – John’s Transformation Story

🐉⚔️TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY🐉⚔️

Meet, John – better known as Schaffer. Schaffer joined Training For Warriors Doylestown after Coach Mike, one of his best friend from college, invited him to come check out his new gym. “I joined TFW shortly after the end of a serious relationship”, he says, “and in the midst of my father losing his battle with cancer, but I immediately felt at home with the Coaches and members.”

Stop Being Afraid, Go Out And Do It! – Kirt’s Transformation Story

⚔️ 🐉 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY 🐉 ⚔️

================================

Meet, Kirt! Coach, and student, at Training For Warriors Doylestown.

As a former Division I softball player, Kirt has seen her fair share of Coaches, Trainers and athletic staff who have all had their own agenda. Her whole athletic career was based on pushing herself to the brink of exhaustion. “Some of the Coaches judged how hard a workout was by how quickly they could get someone to puke.”, Kirt says. “Here at TFW, life couldn’t be more opposite and that’s probably why I am drawn to it.”

Coach Mike was just getting TFW Doylestown off the ground when Kirt found herself in his dojo. She joined in the fall of 2014, after moving home from Maine. A few months later, Kirt became certified as a Coach. From her time at TFW, Kirt has seen firsthand how this program has evolved, but more importantly, how the Doylestown familia members have evolved and grown – including herself.
